Friends,
It is with equal excitement and humility that I share our new name and identity. We Are AAIR – The Foundation for Asthma and Allergy Impact and Rescue!
Our National Mission
After 44 years as a regional chapter of our previous parent organization, we are honored to remain a nonprofit organization, but now with our own national mission:
To ensure that all children are Rescued at School, Healthy at Home, and Connected to Care.
To clarify, we believe every child should have:
- The necessary resources to learn and thrive in every school in the nation.
- A safe and healthy environment in every home and community.
- Connection to a medical professional who will care for them in their own neighborhoods.
Only with your help and that of all our tremendous partners will we achieve this mission. I am confident that together we are ready to become a best-in-class national organization, generating the best possible outcomes for everyone we serve.
Expanding Beyond State Lines
As the provider of the nation’s largest school-based asthma intervention, it only makes sense that we continue to grow our impact and provide our services in as many schools and communities as possible. The organization’s ability to help children stay safe and in school in the face of both asthma and food allergies is too critical to limit it to any state borders. Now, with national expansion, our lifesaving and cost-saving work can proceed without limitations.
Readiness Saves Lives
In the coming year, you will see and hear more from me about how AAIR is improving results and empowering readiness, because as we know – Readiness Saves Lives.
We are committed to driving impact, inspiring collaboration, and saving kids and cash through innovative, and financially sound interventions. We will perform this work with joyful ownership – taking responsibility for results with the kind of joy that comes only from an important job, well done. As we commit to changing systems as opposed to just treating symptoms. We embrace the responsibility to do so both in our own neighborhoods and across the country.
Today, I invite you to join me in helping kids breathe and eat safely.
Because every child deserves this cause…Every child deserves AAIR.
Yours in service,
